Coronavirus
(COVID-19)
Update

Our office is closely monitoring the ongoing situation regarding COVID-19.
We are implementing the latest recommendations by the CDC in our offices.
Please know that we continue to go above and beyond best practices for hygiene, infection control and medical professional team health including:
-
Phone screening when making appointments and when patients and families arrive.
-
Taking temperatures of staff and families prior to admittance into our office. Anyone with an elevated temperature above 100.4 will be directed to their primary care doctor.
-
Only one family (a child with one or both parents only) will be admitted into the office.
Please check back daily for any updates to these policies and protocols. There is nothing more important to our practice than ensuring the health of you and your family.
Sincerely,
Scott A. Siegel, MD, DDS, FACS, FICS, FAAP
We had an appointment with Dr. Siegel to treat our newborn who was having feeding difficulties related to lip and tongue ties. Our pediatrician considered this a medically necessary procedure and recommended working with our lactation consultant and not to wait even during this pandemic. We were so happy to be seen immediately by Dr. Siegel.
Upon calling his office we were immediately put at ease with the fear of the coronavirus issue especially as parents of a newborn. We were offered to have a tele-consult but chose to be seen in person. Our visit from the first call, procedure and discharge was seamless.
We were asked to bring our paperwork all filled out or email back and to call the office upon arrival. We were asked to wait in our car until called to come in to make sure no other patients were present to come into contact with. We were the only patient at the time and brought immediately into the treatment room. There was no wait in waiting room. We filled out a Covid screening questionnaire had to wear masks. All of our temperatures were taken. We did not see any other people besides the receptionist and a nurse and everyone was wearing masks and full protective gear.
The office is super clean and obviously being constantly disinfected. During this most stressful time, my husband and I felt so much better and at ease. Our baby can now feed easily with less gas and reflux and without pain for me!

Dr. Siegel and his team are the best of the best when it comes to lip/tongue ties. My newborn son had the procedure done with him two weeks ago and it went as smooth and seamless as could be. His staff was extremely helpful with the aftercare instructions as well as helping me with filing my insurance claim. I highly recommend!
